Peter Falk Dead: 'Columbo' Star Dies At 83

Peter Falk, movie and stage actor who became described as being  squinty, rumpled detective in "Columbo," which spanned a number of decades in prime-time television and established one of the most iconic characters in movie police work, has passed on. He was 83.He died Thursday at his home in Beverly Hill, according to a statement released Friday by family friend Larry Larson.
He is said to have been suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
