Cher Records Lady Gaga Song For New Album

Cher has recorded "The Greatest Thing," a song penned by Lady Gaga and RedOne, for her next album. In a tweet late last night, the pop icon declared "Just walked in from studio! Finished 1st track on new cd &......."GAGA" YOU ARE THE GREATEST THING TO ME." The singer later clarified that the track is not a duet, and that Gaga had given the song to her as a gift.Photos: Lady Gaga's Best Looks
An early Gaga-sung demo of "The Greatest Thing" can be heard in the YouTube clip below. It's easy to understand why Gaga would pass this one along to Cher. The dance ballad is very well suited to Cher's vocal style, and even features a liberal amount of "Believe"-style AutoTune.
